WU WEI
Using fur, fibre, paper and books as the main media, Wu Wei points to the core issues of Chinese civilisation, such as hunting, rituals, scriptures and history. Through modernist installation language, Wu Wei recreates and reflects on the mystical traditions of the ancient East, the ideology of the ancient dynasties, and the dialectical relationship between hieroglyphics and savage beasts, suggesting the process of human civilisation's repeated struggles with the natural world.
